Transfer

A taxi from the airport costs around 25 euros. The airport is approximately 15 km from the apartment so the journey only takes 15-20 minutes. An alternative to a taxi is to take the train to Carvajal and then take the shuttle bus to the apartment, or you can take an Uber from the train station. Will only cost 4-5 euros.

Shuttle bus

There is a shuttle bus that you can take to get down to the beach, grocery stores/restaurants in Higueron or to the Carvajal train station.

Carvajal train station

You will find Carvajal's train station 700 meters from the apartment (hilly terrain). Line C1 takes you smoothly into Malaga city or Fuengirola. On the way to Malaga, the train stops at a number of places such as Benalmadena, Torremolinos and the airport. If you take the train in the other direction, you will get to Fuengirola.

Taxi

Uber and Bolt have a lot of activity in the area so ordering an Uber usually only takes a couple of minutes before the car arrives.

Pool area

There are two swimming pools belonging to the apartment complex. The southern pool is 136m2 and the western one is 96m2. 

Recreation

Higueron West consists of a 100,000 m2 green area where you will find a number of BBQ places, a playground that is only 50 meters from the apartment and large green areas for games and play. Within the area there is also a communal vegetable garden where residents can pick up fresh herbs and spices.

Beach

The nearest beach is Playa Carvajal, which is a 1 km long sandy beach with lots of activities. The beach promenade continues into Fuengirola with several restaurants and shops. At Playa Carvajal you can rent pedal boats, windsurfing and stand-up paddle, among other things. There is also a large floating water park if you follow the beach towards Playa Boliches. The beach and the promenade are about 1200 meters from the apartment and are possible to walk to, but if you prefer, you can easily take the shuttle train because the terrain is hilly.

Restaurants

There are nine restaurants in Higueron with different price ranges. The most famous restaurant is the Michelin restaurant Sollo, which is only 300 meters from the apartment. Another famous restaurant is El Higueron and the fish restaurant José. In addition to these more expensive restaurants, you will find other restaurants such as pizzerias and Asian restaurants in the Higueron area and along the promenade. A popular Italian restaurant that usually requires a table reservation is Mia's, which is located along the promenade.

Grocery store

There is a large Carrefour store where you can do all your shopping. The shuttle bus will take you there. It is also possible to buy the food online and have it delivered to your home.

HIGUERON SPORTS CLUB

Higueron has one of the Costa del Sol's largest sports facilities with 9 padel courts, tennis courts, volleyball and a 700 square meter gym. Adjacent to the club is a very reputable spa.
